After a busy couple weeks and and an illness that has befallen me for a few days, I am able to share my map progression thus far. I finished up on The Cave of Truth and 90% of the Labyrinth Level 1 floor and am now just arrived at the final trial, The Cave of Wisdom. This trial looks like a real treat and I am looking forward to tackling and mapping this level. But first, the story so far...

Just an update to the first floor of the Labyrinth. Still got that one tile to check out and chances are that will bring me closer to saving the princess. Wait for me my love, your hero is coming to save you!

Tricky map, but nothing my little brain can't handle! |
It's a ghost! |
This was an interesting floor with some dull trap mechanics. First off, we got the spinney turn tables that are easy to figure out, the magic sucking slime floors, walls that drop from the sky that block your path, puddles of water that tries to kill you, ghosts hiding in false treasure chests (oh, and they can cast death on you for an instant kill), a misleading wall that brings your hopes up then crushes it, and a hungry golem that's disguised as a damsel in distress so it can trick you in becoming its lunch. This Labyrinth is evil I tell you.
With that being said, I rather enjoyed this one. Even with my gear decked out, the baddies were not easy to fight through. This game truly was inspired by PC dungeon crawling RPGs that came before it and I like it.
I'm coming for you, DarkSol! |

Ahem, didn't update the notation list yet. Maybe once I'm done with the next trial.

So that's about it for now. I've been thinking about writing my impressions with games I'm almost done with because I would like to improve my writing skills and I enjoy talking about games I'm currently playing. Also, it's a cool time capsule journal to read later about the adventures I've had with those games, especially RPGs. The game in particular is Tales of Vesperia, and I have quite a few things to say about this game. The only issue I see right now about this is finding the time to work on this. Hopefully the procrastination doesn't get in the way and I can find the motivation to work on it here and there. Wish me luck.
Anyways, see you in the next one as I tackle the final trial!
